A light and airy handmade sterling silver ring featuring a sparkling Amethyst.
Stone is a 7mm x 5mm faceted oval Amethyst, large enough to be eyecatching without being hugely ostentatious or weighing down your hand, and claw set to add to the feeling of lightness. The band is 2mm wide at the base and 6mm wide at the stone and is finished to a soft polish. The ring is stamped '925' to show that it is sterling silver.
>>---> Ring is size M (inner diamer of 16.7mm) <---<<
Now what did I say about ring sizes? - one of the rings I really like and you do it in 'too small for my chubbies' (Didn't even check out the price)

OK, Checked out the price, and I'd like to commission one in my size when you've got the shop/gallery running and you're not exhausted! (And I have funds.) One slight difference (apart from the size hahahaha) I'd like a cabochon amethyst - is that doable?

It might be best for me to make it now while I still have a little time to myself! I found out on friday that the arcade I'm planning to rent the shop from requires all the shops to be open 7 days a week! Since I'm planning on running it by myself to begin with, (just until it starts making money and I can afford some help) this means I'm just going to have to live 'shop' for a while.
I currently only have two cab Amethysts, one is 12mm x 8mm and the other one is 13mm x 10mm. The smaller one is slightly pale and a little stripy and the larger one is a very deep purple with a few darker inclusions it you look really closely. They are pretty enough, but they are about twice the size of the stone in this ring... which would probably make the ring less delicate looking.... sorry I'm working this out as I type
I'll have a look around for some smaller cab Amethysts. I'd been meaning to find more cabs anyway, it occurred to me the other day that 80% of the stones in my stash are faceted. I love adding to my stash. I'd make a great dragon
Btw, what size did you want the ring to be? Could you give me the inner diameter in Millimeters? There are so many sizing systems floating around and I'd hate to make it the wrong size

Hehehe, I work out things as I type too 12mm x 8mm is probably OK but looking at the moonstone I'm weaing I think might be a bit large. Without getting the callipers out I think it's about 9mm x 6mm and that's probably as big as I'd like to go. Talking of thing as I'm typing do you ever work in gold? I've been hankering after a replica (or close match) of a mediaval sapphire ring - I've got the sapphire already... (Only been thinking about it for 4 years so no hurry there!)
As for size of ring I need to decide where I'd like to wear it and then see if I've got a ring that fits that finger - my weights been changing over the last couple of years since we took on this barn and most of my rings fit differently from how they used to! I'll measure that up and let you know. Bear with me - you know how rubbish I am at moving quickly. Don't worry about making it any time soon. I can't afford it now and probably can't justify it for some months - you know how it is when you have to prioritise which bills get paid...
