Artist's Comments

This Neckchain is one of my major works from my final year of my Jewellery trade Certificate course.

It is solid sterling silver. the stones are Blue Topaz. Each head was cast using the lost wax technique and has a hook on the back which the ring hangs from. The ring is completely detachable. I have occasionally worn it with one head/hook, caught on the chain just above the other dragon head, which gives it a slightly more 'casual' look. There is also a matching brooch which is also in my gallery.

If you wish to comission something similar (or completely different), drop me a line..... :D

EDIT - This item has been SOLD :boogie:  :boogie:

beautiful! I always enjoy seeing jewelry that other people have done. I took a jewelry arts course too...loved it, been creating ever since.

No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

^^ Wonderful, just wonderful. I have a chain like that on one of my pieces, and I'll have to admit that it's one of the most frustrating things that I have ever done. That style looks just stunning with the rest of it!

Oh my God...I really want to purchase it! Only, I think it's better if I don't. I'm one of those people who can only really be trusted with cheap things.

But, yes, it is GORGEOUS. I love those heads...they're like mystical goat/cow/antelope things! So very well done, amazing concept.:thumbsup:

It's beautiful. I especially like the chain -- it's so unusual.

Thankyou. All of you! I'm a little stunned at how many faves this has got. My tutor didn't like the design at all, kept trying to get me to do something else! Of course he didn't like anything I designed that had a fantasy theme, so I pretty much ignored him. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes it.

I'm thinking of making a matching bracelet. Same type of chain with just one head. But I think I'd need to sell this one first.

wow, that's great! :omg: and I love the broche, too :)
as a tolkienist I'm a sucker for dragons and such ;)
